Check out the Activities Page for contact details
A return of a local favourite! The July walk is the Stones Walk which gives the opportunity to check on the restoration of All Saints’ Church in Mackworth village. The walk is 5 miles long with a couple of easy stiles. There may be livestock in the a field or two and, as ever, sturdy footwear of muddy conditions is recommended.Meet at 75 Wheeldon Ave at 10.30. No car sharing needed as this is the starting point. If you are driving for some reason, then see Activity page for contact details and check with Lyn about meeting at Markeaton Mundy car park.
Plan is to stop at the Potting Shed on the way back but you may wish to bring snacks/ drinks to keep you going while walking and talking. Well behaved dogs on leads always welcome.

Playing Out
Playing Out is all about Active Play - ie children having more freedom to play outside than is usually possible given today’s level of traffic. The idea is to have fun - safely.
All residents are welcome to come along and chat. If you have children with you, you are responsible for them throughout.
Information on Six Streets Playing Out here
If this date is rained off, then the event will take place on the second Friday of the month.
The street is closed to through traffic as we have road closure orders from the council. This does not affect residents leaving/ arriving as they are not passing through. Stewards will stop the children playing and shepherd you out or in to a parking space - though we very much appreciate it when residents choose to park up outside the play area to avoid the disruption.

Six Streets Walk - Dovedale
Check out the Activities Page for contact details
Hi fellow walkers,we hope you are enjoying the recent glorious weather. We are struggling to find a mutually convenient day for our May walk so rather than miss the month completely we are offering Friday, 24th May for an afternoon walk. We will meet outside 75 Wheeldon Avenue at 2pm and we will head to Dovedale.
It will be our normal 5 miles and we'll stop half way in Milldale for a rest and refreshments. One of the beautiful cottages doubles up as a shop offering hot & cold drinks, cakes, sandwiches, ice cream, etc.
Once refreshed we can make our way back either re-tracing our steps or via an alternative but slightly more adventurous route. We will decide on the day depending on who joins us.
Both will be delightful because this whole area is just so beautiful. The main route is easy terrain but we always recommend suitable walking footwear. After the walk we might suggest we stop at The Peveril of the Peak for an early doors drink in their super garden.
Car share will be available on the usual first come first served basis and prior notice of who can offer car share / who needs it is always helpful. Well behaved dogs on a lead also welcome.
We hope to see you soon, Lyn & Peter
The walk in June will take place on Sunday, 30th June, so please pop the date in your diary. Normal time 10 30

Family Friendly Bike Ride
These bike rides are designed to be fun, welcoming and gentle - suitable for all ages and abilities. This one starts at Derby City Council House, covers a short route around the city with volunteers to guide the ride.
This is a family friendly cycle and everyone is welcome, regardless of whether or not you have or look after children. This is a social ride and there will be cars so we kindly ask that you are self-sufficient and responsible for yourselves and any children you bring along
There will be music to keep everyone moving and we encourage everyone to stay and socialise at the end. The ride will arrive at Cathedral Green around 12 noon, perfect for a post-ride picnic.
