Food Bank
Please Help
The level of need in Derby is higher than ever so please join in this monthly collection
Marie and Michele coordinate the collection of items to donate to the Red Cross on the first Sunday of the month. They then take into the Derby Red Cross office before it is distributed to vulnerable people living in Derby. Red Cross is now in association with Food 4 Thought Alliance which also works with Derby City Council
They ask for a range of basic food stuffs, including fresh fruit and veg. Toiletries are also welcome as are seasonal items such as Easter Eggs for children. Please make sure your bag is marked as such if it contains fresh produce - or tell the person collecting it. If you can, please drop your donation off. The Red Cross has no fridge on its premises so please donate UHT milk rather than fresh etc.
When to donate? To make it as easy as possible, donation boxes will be outside 22 Wheeldon Avenue and 112 Kedleston Road from Thursday until the first Sunday in the month. Simply pop your donation in the boxes left out. If you would like monthly reminders, please use the enquiry form below.
Top items that are in greatest demand are over on the left of this page.
If you would like your donation to be collected from your house on Sunday morning, please get in touch, pop a note into 22 Wheeldon Ave or click on Enquiry Form below.
If it is more convenient for you, there is also a foodbank collection bin at the door to Broadway Baptist Church. If you would prefer to set up a standing order, then check out Food4Though Alliance
