Hi fellow walkers,

we hope you are enjoying the recent glorious weather. We are struggling to find a mutually convenient day for our May walk so  rather than miss the month completely we are offering Friday, 24th May for an afternoon walk. We will meet outside 75 Wheeldon Avenue at 2pm and we will head to Dovedale.

It will be our normal 5 miles and we'll stop half way in Milldale for a rest and refreshments. One of the beautiful cottages doubles up as a shop offering hot & cold drinks, cakes, sandwiches, ice cream, etc.

Once refreshed we can make our way back either re-tracing our steps or via an alternative but slightly more adventurous route. We will decide on the day depending on who joins us.

Both will be delightful because this whole area is just so beautiful. The main route is easy terrain but we always recommend suitable walking footwear. After the walk we might suggest we stop at The Peveril of the Peak for an early doors drink in their super garden.

Car share will be available on the usual first come first served basis and prior notice of who can offer car share / who needs it is always helpful. Well behaved dogs on a lead also welcome.
