Six Streets Walking Together - feedback & next walk
The walking group enjoyed a chilly but thankfully ‘rain-free’ walk around Ticknall and Calke Abbey on Sunday, 20th November. It was super to meet Rupa’s mum who was visiting Derbyshire and Six Streets for the first time. Our first International member! There won’t be a walk in December because we are busy working extra hours and trying to get ready for the Christmas festivities. So, the next walk will be on Sunday, 15th January and it will be another local circular walk starting from Breadsall Village and taking us to Drum Hill and Little Eaton. This is an approximate 5 mile walk and one that we thoroughly enjoyed putting together because it took us to areas that we think you won’t have been to before. As usual we suggest wearing strong walking shoes and bring a packed lunch & drink for half way round (maybe a plastic bag too to sit on). But most of all be prepared for any sort of weather! Well behaved dogs on leads are always welcome to join us.
Arrangements for the January walk are - meet outside 75 Wheeldon Avenue at 10.30. Car share is normally available and is offered on a first come, first served basis so it will be helpful if we know in advance if anyone wants car share or can offer car share.
Peter and I would like to thank everyone who has joined and supported our walks during 2022 and to wish you a Very Merry & stress-free Christmas, followed by a Happy New Year. We look forward to welcoming existing and new members to our walking group throughout 2023… Meantime, enjoy the Festivities, hohoho…The walking group enjoyed a chilly but thankfully ‘rain-free’ walk around Ticknall and Calke Abbey on Sunday, 20th November.
