Thermal loss window "fixing"

A local resident has been in touch about a very dubious phone call she received from a company claiming to be investigating heat loss from windows in DE22 homes. They wanted to send a “surveyor” and claimed there are grants available for “fixing” the problem. They wished to know when she was at home so that they could call. When Jean asked for the company’s name and contact details, the call was curtailed.

As it is a possible scam, she reported it to the police dealing with such matters, they suggested being on the lookout for suspicious people or vehicles in the area. Jean was wondering if anyone else has had similar call and recommends reporting it if you have.
