Bulky Waste - council collection

If you can’t get to Raynesway and the item/s aren’t suitable for donation via sites like Gumtree or Freecycle then you can contact the council for a bulky waste collection

The charge is £33.89 for 1 to 3 items – an item being an armchair, a mattress, a sofa, a bed frame or similar. Extra items cost about another £5 each.

Fridges and freezers are cheaper - £12.50 per item.

The maximum for one collection is 6 items - you can then book an additional collection.

The Neighbourhood Partnership Officer for Darley Ward has said that at the minute there is no budget for an area wide compactor lorry to take items for free. If you wish to let your councillor know that this service is needed in future, then the contact details are here
