Proposed Cycling/Walking Route

Funding for a feasibility study for a cycle and walking route along the Derwent Valley is to be decided by Derbyshire County Council on Thursday, March 11.

The £100,000 study would look at possible routes to lower the risk of accidents on the A6 right from the A50 Elvaston intersection, on through Derby city centre and then heading out to Duffield, Belper, Matlock, Bakewell and Buxton.

So residents near the A6 (Duffield Rd) would have the option of walking/cycling safely along Derwent Valley.
