Lorry Fire at Markeaton Island

Obviously less traffic than in normal times but worth avoiding Markeaton Island for a while.

A lorry has caught fire and part of the A38 has been closed. At around 12.50pm on Saturday 16th Jan , an explosion was heard.

So A38 northbound was closed from the Markeaton in the direction of the Palm Court island for a while leading to build up of traffic. The road re-opened around 6pm.
