Darley Neighbourhood Board - report
Update:
I forgot to put the information that Cllr Jack Stanton is standing down due to moving outside Derby and as no elections will be held until next year, it seems Darley Ward may only have 2 councillors until next May.
Original Post
The meeting was held on 11th March but has just come through - coivd 19 means people have a lot on their plate!
The major item was the Police Report: November saw a spike in the number of incidents with the majority involving Anti Social Behaviour and scams/ bilking - atempts to cheat or deceive. Many were across the West End area and the removal of a problem family helped reduce number of calls to police.
There have been muggings on and near the Recreation Ground off Mackworth Road inthe Autumn - please be aware that using an expensive mobile phone (espeically at night) without being very aware of your surroundings can lead to some people taking advantage. 3 arrests have been made and 2 people charged so far but prevention is better in terms of avoiding trauma.
Operation Relentless is a 1 year long anti theft programme just launched by Derbys Police - the advice and property marking side will be affected by virus outbreak but police will be using rat trap cars and bikes to catch thieves while they have the manpower for this ie coivd 19 allowing. The event planned for Darley area will be put on hold until we can have events.
If you have a crime to report, please be aware 111 is often busy so use Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
The other thing decided of relevance to Six Streets is that we have been given a grant to buy a new noticeboard to help those in area without access to website/Facebook keep in touch with all we do and information we pass on about council and police events.
