Bike Marking Event

  • Safer Neighbourhood Team University of Derby DE22 1GB UK (map)

Only just heard or would have put in my email round … still waiting to hear about promised weekend event.

Police team will be at the university’s Kedleston Road site tomorrow, Wednesday, December 5th. The scheme works by marking the bike with a unique code linked to the owner’s details on a secure database. If the cycle is stolen and subsequently found, police can use this code to ensure the bike is returned to its rightful owner. The marking by www.BikeRegister.com is usually £12 but is completed free by Derbyshire Police. The team will be in the atrium between 9.15am and 3.30pm. Anyone attending to have their cycle marked should bring with them some form of identification.

For further information, contact the Derbyshire Police on 101 or send them a message online by visiting the Contact Us section of their website
