Christmas Arrangements:

We will be collecting for the Red Cross Food Bank on Sunday morning from around 10. If you would like us to collect as usual, please email and let me know 

For this month we are trying a 'food bank weekend' so that donations can be left from Friday evening to Sunday morning. There will be a plastic box behind the  front wall of 11 Wheeldon Avenue. This is to allow more flexibility when people have other commitments or plans at the weekend

Marie coordinates the collection of items to be donated to the Red Cross. On the first Sunday of the month, Becc collects from around 25 doorsteps across the area, making this a very convenient way to donate. She then takes the carload into the Derby Red Cross office so it can be distributed to vulnerable people living in Derby.

If you prefer, you can drop your donation off to 11 Wheeldon Ave. If you are on the regular collection list, please label the bag with your name so the team know not to call by at yours this month.

Red Cross ask for a range of basic food stuffs, including fresh fruit and veg. Toiletries are also welcome as are seasonal items such as Christmas stuff, you may want to donate items for children. Please make sure your bag is marked as such if it contains fresh produce - or tell the person collecting it.
