Greta Thunberg started leaving school on Fridays to go to the Swedish Parliament buildings as she thought climate change was a priority which was being ignored.

Greta has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize and has spoken at events across Europe including the Davos summit.

The idea has spread across the world and there will be a local event at the Council House.
