Please meet  at  10.30 outside 75 Wheeldon Avenue to finalise car sharing before setting off to the start point which is the Evergreen Club Cornhill DE22 2FT.

The 5.5 mile (approx) route goes from Allestree to Bunker Hill, Quarndon and over to Duffield before heading back to Allestree.

There will be a small amount of road walking from Quarndon water tower to Bunker Hill.  The remainder will be through fields with some stiles.  The terrain is fairly flat apart from the decline after Bunker Hill on the way to Duffield.  It’s a lovely walk that takes us through familiar areas but perhaps you didn’t realise there were public footpaths there.

This will probably be the last of the local walks because we plan to go further afield for until late autumn.

 Well behaved dogs on leads will be welcome and please remember to bring something to eat, drink and to sit on (plastic bag or similar) for the half way round mark.  Be prepared for muddy conditions in parts and the odd shower.  We could well be walking through some fields that contain sheep and lambs.

 We will sort out the car share when we meet on the day but it would be helpful to have prior notification if you intend to come and can offer car share.  This gives us the opportunity to try to work it out in advance.
