Lyn & Peter have decided to keep walking in fields to a minimum for the time being. The details for our next walk are:

Meet:                   10.30 outside 75 Wheeldon Avenue

Car Share:           This will be sorted out on the day but prior notification if you need or can offer car share would be appreciated

Distance:             6 miles

The Walk:            We will street park outside The Barley Mow public house in Kirk Ireton and then walk mainly on quiet back roads towards Callow, Millers Green and Alton Manor. Depending on how the walkers feel on the day, there is an option to do a deviation into Wirksworth.  This walk is surrounded by superb views throughout.  Whilst it is mainly a road walk, we will have to cross a couple of fields which we expect to be pretty wet.

As always we suggest wearing strong waterproof footwear and layers of clothes because at this time of year the temperature can change quickly.  About half way round we will find a suitable location to stop for a sandwich and a drink so please bring whatever you want to eat/ drink and something waterproof to sit on because it will probably be on a stone wall or similar. Well behaved dogs on leads are always welcome
