Illuminated Charity Tractor Run

Timings are approximate but give an indication of when you can expect to see the tractors and give guide to associated delays to traffic.

This December, the first Derbyshire tractor run will be lighting up the roads around Allestre and Little Eaton with a cavalcade of festive tractors, in aid of ‘Ben’s Den’ and the Ben Parker Trust Fund charity

The tractors will depart from the Kedleston Country House at 5pm on Saturday 2nd December, heading off on a 20-mile route through QUARNDON, ALLESTREE, DUFFIELD, LITTLE EATON, HOLBROOK, MILFORD, BACK THROUGH DUFFIELD AND QUARNDON BEFORE RETURNING TO START.

Watch the tractors at the start, on route and/or join them back at the venue to watch their return. After the run, there will be live music, fully-stocked bar, delicious food and more all to raise money for charity.

Ben’s Den is an initiative set up through the Ben Parker Trust Fund: a local charity providing last minute holidays for children with cancer and leukaemia.

There will be QR codes available to allow spectators to make a donation to the chosen charity as well as collection boxes at the hotel. Tractors are due to arrive back at The Kedleston Country House at 7/7.30pm approx.

If you want to watch the tractors/ leave the roads free for them to process then check out the route details below:

1. Tractors to depart from the Kedleston Country House at 5pm. Tractors will turn LEFT from INN LANE onto KEDLESTON ROAD, then LEFT again onto CHURCH ROAD towards QUARNDON.

2. Tractors will veer RIGHT onto BURLEY LANE then RIGHT onto WOODLANDS LANE towards ALLESTREE, passing PORTWAY INFANT SCHOOL and continuing STRAIGHT ON onto ALLESTREE LANE. 3. Tractors will then turn LEFT onto OAKOVER DRIVE, then RIGHT onto BIRCHOVER WAY, past PARK FARM SHOPPING CENTRE.

4. Tractors will then turn RIGHT onto KEDLESTON ROAD, turning right just past MARKEATON PUB, onto ALLESTREE LANE.

5. Tractors will turn LEFT onto BLENHEIM DRIVE, continuing past WOODLANDS SCHOOL, eventually turning LEFT onto ROBINCROFT ROAD, then LEFT again onto CORNHILL, continuing onto PARK LANE.

6. Tractors will turn LEFT onto the A6 (DUFFIELD ROAD), and continuing straight on, until turning RIGHT onto MAKENEY ROAD.

7. Tractors will turn RIGHT onto DUFFIELD BANK, passing BRIDGE INN PUB and heading towards LITTLE EATON.

8. Tractors will continue on this road, passing NEW INN, LITTLE EATON. Tractors will then turn LEFT onto ALFRETON ROAD, towards LITTLE EATON VILLAGE. Once through the village, tractors will turn LEFT onto ALFRETON ROAD towards COXBENCH.

9. Tractors will continue STRAIGHT ON, passing the BELL & HARP PUB and continuing past the FOX & HOUNDS PUB.

10. Tractors will then veer LEFT onto PORTWAY, towards the village of HOLBROOK. Turning RIGHT onto MOORSIDE LANE, past HOLBROOK PRIMARY SCHOOL, then turning LEFT onto CHAPEL STREET passing THE DEAD POETS INN.

11. Tractors will turn RIGHT onto BELPER ROAD and shortly after, turn LEFT onto SHAW LANE, continuing STRAIGHT ON until reaching the A6 (DERBY ROAD), where tractors will then turn LEFT towards MILFORD.

12. When reaching the KING WILLIAM PUB in MILFORD, tractors will turn LEFT onto MAKENEY ROAD, towards MAKENEY HALL HOTEL and continuing STRAIGHT ON to DUFFIELD BANK, and straight on again to MAKENEY ROAD, passing the BRIDGE INN PUB on the left hand side.

13. Tractors will turn RIGHT onto DERBY ROAD, towards TOWN STREET, DUFFIELD. 13. Tractors will turn LEFT onto WIRKSWORTH ROAD, passing ECCLESBOURNE SCHOOL, before turning LEFT again onto BROADWAY.

14. Tractors will continue on BROADWAY until once again re-joining the A6, turning RIGHT onto DERBY ROAD.

15. Tractors will continue ahead until turning RIGHT onto BURLEY LANE. Tractors will continue towards the village of QUARNDON, passing THE CURZON C of E PRIMARY SCHOOL & JOINERS ARMS, QUARNDON, before finally turning RIGHT back onto KEDLESTON ROAD towards finish point.
