Derby, like many other cities across the UK, is trying to deal with significant change as the way we use city centres has changed. This has been intensified even more by the COVID-19 pandemic. How we respond and adapt to these changes will be crucial to the city’s success and will help guide us to create a clear, bold vision to transform Derby into a vibrant and attractive place that people want to be a part of.

This meeting will hear two of the Derby City Council officers, Andrew Waterhouse, Spatial Planning Group Manager,  and Richard Carruthers  Senior Planning Officer who will be talking about the rather ambitious plans for Derby. Here is the link to the consultation which is taking place https://letstalk.derby.gov.uk/city-centre-vision

Then we will hear Neville Portas from Down-to Earth who will show an array of stunning designs and forthcoming events. Down to Earth are talking about  for a huge new city centre wetland, spectacular roof top garden at the Cock Pit, innovative new urban farm at Riverlights and a stunning secret garden bar at the end of Bold Lane.

So do join us.
