It has become an annual event in the Six Streets for houses to be decorated and treats given out to allow young children to have a fun safe evening.

We ask that those young children only knock on the doors of houses with Orange Posters to allow residents who do not choose to take part to be left in peace.

The times here are a guide as it is up to individual residents to decide whether they are taking part and when they can do so. Please don’t come too early as residents need time to set up -look out for the orange notices.

It is a growing thing for people who live outside the area to contribute to the event by donating a bag of sweets to someone they know in the area. Or you could give in a bag at a house with great decorations …

Usually there are refreshments run by local groups such as Markeaton PTFA, Broadway Cubs and St Alkmunds’ Church. It is up to these groups whether they take part and where they are - so wait and see!

Judges will be coming round the streets looking for the Most Artistic Pumpkin and Spooky House.
