Spate of vehicle tampering reported

Over the last few days there have been a number of vehicles broken into within the Allestree/Darley Abbey area.

Please ensure that you:

Do not leave anything of interest/value in the vehicle

Check all windows are closed

Check the central locking does lock ALL the doors and tailgate/boot.

Do not just reply on the click and flash of the lights. Occasionally check that the system works by double checking all the doors are locked.

Whilst the criminals may not steal your vehicle they will leave you frustrated/annoyed/angry. You then have the time consuming task of dealing with the damage. Police/insurance company/repairs etc.
