Sturgess Field Bridges - one bridge built!

The University of Derby owns the land which is the local town green, Sturgess Fields. They applied a while back for planning permission to build bridges to connect the Jonty Farmer field with the field next to Watson Street Scout Hut.

The work was going to start at the end of January but was delayed for unknown reasons.

The new bridge from field next to Scout Hut onto path that goes to Markeaton Street has now been completed. The path going along the fenced off field to the Jonty Farmer filed is fenced off to allow the other bridge to be built.

So you can still use the field next to the Jonty Farmer field and still use the field next to the scout hut but not go from one to the other and can only reach the Watson Street field from Markeaton Street.
