Sturgess Field Bridges - update

The University of Derby owns the land which is the local town green, Sturgess Fields. They applied a while back for planning permission to build bridges to connect the Jonty Farmer field with the field next to Watson Street Scout Hut.

The work is going to start at the end of the month and so for the following weeks the path from Markeaton Street going along the fenced off field to the Jonty Farmer filed will be closed.

People will be able to still use the field next to the Jonty Farmer field and still use the field next to the scout hut but not go from one to the other or reach either of the two fields from Markeaton Street.

The notices say the closure starts on January 31st.
