Mobility Hub - Consultation Process

The council want to hear your views!

from before:

Derby City Council have put together proposals to allow people living in these terraced streets to be able to charge electric vehicles locally. This is combined with access to Car Club vehicles in a bid to allow people to save money by ditching the second car (oe maybe only car?) in these days of increased home working. They hope this will ease parking issues in the area.

There has been a open meeting about this and now the council have issued detailed map as part of the process. You can see previous information here

If you have views on the issue then please contact Neighbourhood Officers and/or local councillors

Please note that the Darley Neighbourhood Officer is not Stephanie Holt at the minute - Becky Hudson is back rebecca.hudson@derby.gov.uk

The map shows that Wheeldon Ave would have parking slots reserved for Car Club parking. The existing No Waiting would remain though a bay seems to extend into it.

Statham Street and White Street would have parking slots allocated to the charging points. White Street has a proposed No Waiting area at junction with Kedleston Road. Statham Street No Waiting area would remain, again a bay seems to extend into it.

The parking at the shops is shown as 1 hour only with no return allowed within an hour. The map makes clear that there are extensive No Waiting areas along Kedleston Road from Bromley Street to White Street.
