Darley Park - Sewage Leak : Update
A 'fatberg' containing wet wipes, nappies, oils and grease caused a "significant" sewage leak at Darley Park. On March 8, it was reported that a leak had been pumping sewage containing toilet paper and excrement on the ground near a public footpath.
The sewage leak was below the cafe before you get to the playground.

Severn Trent is investigating this today. The immediate site now has tape around it but is believed to have been leaking for some time. A full cordon is to be set up in coming days. No timetable has been announced for issue to be resolved.
