Darley Village Diversions

As previously posted the work to install a pedestrian bridge at the Mills is starting on Monday Sept 5th so there will be road closures & parking restrictions in the coming month in the old village.

From Monday, September 5, to Friday, October 7, the parking bays in Darley Street at the junction with Old Road will needed for worker facilities.

From September 19 until Friday, September 23, Old Lane will be closed from the junction with Darley Street to the bridge. This means no vehicle access for the duration of the closure and no pedestrian access during working hours.

For this working week, the current one-way system in West Row will be reversed. There will be 2 way traffic along Darley Street and New Road. Temporary traffic lights will be put in place in New Road between The Hill and Darley Street, with signed diversions in place.

The large crane and other vehicles need access to the site from September 19 to September 23 so any parking on Old Lane & Church Lane is not a great idea.
