Neighbourhood Watch Funding Information

If you are interested in setting up a Neighbourhood Watch Scheme then funding is going to be an issue. This information comes from the Police and Crime Commissioner for Derbyshire so it could be worth checking out.

“An additional 10 grants to local schemes across Derbyshire and Derby city have been awarded. which will play a crucial role in making those communities more resistant to crime. This funding will help to recruit new volunteers into local Neighbourhood Watch groups and promote their work.

Successful schemes have benefitted from grants of up to £300 to fund additional resources including personal alarms, additional street signs and crime reduction newsletters.

Applications have been managed and vetted by the Commissioner’s delivery partner, Derbyshire Neighbourhood Watch Association Trust (DNWAT), to ensure they support the drive to increase membership and visibility of NHW across the county.”
