Recycling Wrapping Paper

from Derby Telegraph

Derby City Council says that plain Christmas cards can go in your blue bin for recycling.

BUT they must NOT be covered in glitter and materials other than paper or card, such as foil, plastic and glass.

And wrapping paper should go into black bin!

According to Recycle Now, the national recycling campaign for England, the materials that go into making some wrapping paper result in it not always being accepted for recycling.

This is because wrapping paper is often dyed, laminated and/or contains non-paper additives such as gold and silver-coloured shapes, glitter, plastics, which cannot be recycled.
