Derby beats World Record

The World Record for the number of people crocheting at the same time in the same place now belongs to Derby.

The old record of 604 was smashed as 960 people crocheted for 15 minutes this afternoon in celebration of BBC Derby’s Make a Blanket Appeal. Listen to the officlal announcement on BBC Sounds - search for Sally Pepper Show of 24th February. The crucial bit is at 16:46.
