From Derby Council:

Have you or your family made use of extended entitlement childcare in Derby? We want to know how it helps you!

Completing our short survey before Wednesday 20th March will help us plan childcare that meets your needs and the needs of future families.

Did you know that currently all three and four year olds are entitled to 570 hours of funded childcare over an academic year?

Some working families are also eligible to the Extended Entitlement; an additional 570 hours of childcare a year which adds up to a huge 1140 hours! Please see our funded early learning page to find out if you could be eligible for this extra funded childcare.

Childcare in the early years offers a caring and happy experience that supports development and gets young children ready to thrive at school and in later life. The Extended Entitlement reduces the cost of childcare for working families and improves children’s education and progress from an early age.
