Derby - Air Quality Blackspot
The council is aware that Stafford St junction is breaking the Air Quality regulations (other places in Derby might as well but not have been measured)
The council is working to reduce pollution by reducing congestion through redesigning junction and surrounding roads. The consultation on this has led to cycling groups pointing out that the plans would make life less safe for a group who travel without causing any pollution by removing a cycle lane close to Vernon St.
The council has produced a press release in relation to the awareness raising action taking place on Friargate on Sat 16th
