Coronation - deadline for booking Open Space in a Derby Park or applying for Road Closure

From Saturday 6th to Monday 8th May 2023, events will be held across the country to mark the Coronation.

it might be you are interestedd in the Big Lunch, a street party or in The Big Help Out . The Coronation Big Lunch, at which neighbours and communities are invited to share food and fun together, will take place across the country on the Sunday.The BIg Help Out is a volunteering opportunity on the Bank Holiday Monday.

Any community event or group who would like to use one of Derby’s parks should contact the Space Hire team at Derby Live by emailing before mid March.

.If you are thinking of a street party, then please note Road Closure Requests will need to be completed by 7th April.. Six Streets will be happy to help anyone with that paperwork. Contact spacehire@derby.gov.uk for a road closure application form and allow a few hours to complete the form. More info on street parties here

In Derby City centre, Derby Cathedral will be hosting a screening of the Coronation ceremony. If you are arranging an event then you can screen the Coronation at your street party or in community centre without applying for a TV licence.
