Film Studio @ Aida Bliss
Permission has been granted for the long empty factory site in Chester Green next to Handyside Bridge to be developed as a film studio.
Initially, this is on a 9 month basis with the newer rear buildings being used. A separate planning application is to be submitted outlining the company’s long term visions for the whole site but film-making can start soon with this initial approval. The company behind the plans is Marv Studios, which made Rocketman, Stardust, Layer Cake and the Kingsman films. Their plan is to invest £13 million in the studio and stunt academy in the long term.
