St Mary's School - Rebuild
After the arson attack on St Mary’s School, the school relocated to temporary buildings - most recently in Chester Green. Work on building a new school started in February and all 5 single storey buildings that make up the new school are nearing end of the building phase before being fitted out. Work is scheduled to be finished by late autumn.
Funding from the Department for Education means that St Mary’s will be one of the greenest schools in the country. The aim is to net zero with solar panels and heat pumps reducing energy bills.
