Roadworks - Kedleston Road
- 20TH FEB - 3RD MARCH
Derby City Council will be carrying out essential Drainage Improvement Works along Kedleston Road commencing Monday 20th of February, with a planned completion date of Friday 3rd of March.
The scope of the scheme includes installation of kerb drainage outside Toll Bar Cottage, realignment of channel levels, and resetting of kerb heights. The objective is to increase drainage capacity in the area of highway around Toll Bar Cottage, to decrease risk of localised flooding.
The works area will be located on the North side of Kedleston Road outside Toll Bar Cottage, and a lane closure will be in place encompassing the section of highway stretching from the slip road leading to number 288, through to the grass verge next to Toll Bar Cottage.
A 3-way lights signal system will be in place which will include the slip road, and a temporary pedestrian crossing will be in use whilst the current crossing signals are switched off. It will not be necessary to relocate any bus stops, as the permanent stops are located outside of the signals area. We are expecting disruptions along the route, including at the entrance to the University of Derby. The first week of works will take place during school half-term to minimise delays where possible.
