Christmas Appeal

The Appeal is now closed. Jay wishes to thank everyone who has given her and the other volunteers so much to wrap!

This appeal has been successful in past years as people across Six Streets have dropped off donations at 54 Wheeldon Ave which are then delivered to Derby City Council. The presents are given to Derby children who may not otherwise have anything to celebrate at Christmas.

This year Markeaton Primary School is backing the appeal so we hope that will boost donations.

We know that the cost of living crisis has increased the number of children who would benefit from the appeal so if you can please do give a gift. It would be much appreciated if you would share this page with friends, family and colleagues.

plain text version:

Dear Parents and Carers

It’s that time of year again, where we are asking for your kind support.  This will directly help local children in need around Derby who will really benefit, from an extra bit of Christmas cheer this year.

We really do need your help to make this happen!

We ask that when you are buying a little something for your family and friends, if possible that you buy an extra little something for a child.

We would really appreciate any donations for male and female children, from the age of 0 – 18 which, will need to be NEW.  This could include:

•            Toys

•            Books

•            Games

•            Sweets /             Chocolate

•            Toiletries

•            New Clothing

•            Christmas tags and wrapping paper

Donations can be left at  54 Wheeldon Ave, from now until the 16th December.  There will be a box in the front porch for you to drop off donated items.

We know that your contribution will definitely help to making a childs’ Christmas a happy one. This collection has been approved by Derby City Council.

If you have any questions then please contact 07881938154

Thank you & Merry Christmas.
