A38 Project: Appeal on Decision - Latest

The transport secretary gave the go ahead for the A38 project last month but since then a legal challenge to try and reverse that decision has been launched.

Highways England has issued regular newsletters on this project which can be viewed here The plans for each roundabout are also there. If the legal challenge is not successful, the major work on the project will start in late summer 2021.

Derby City Council highways subcommittee continues to discuss the A38 project.

Recently it has been reported in national press that the government may review its whole road-building policy in England as their programme may not be in line with environmental legislation.
