Planning for Mobility Hubs in area
Derby City Council is considering introducing mobility hubs close to Six Streets. Possible sites are in front of Kingsmead House close to Arthur Hind St and the council owned garages on Newton’s Walk.
These are being discussed by the Darley Neighbourhood Board and if you have any comments you would like to be passed onto local representive, please get in touch Or you can - of course contact local councillors
The aim of the hubs is to encourage alternatives to car ownership so people would be able to rent cars and to make the switch to electric cars easier by providing charging points. Obviously charging will be an issue for areas with high level of on street parking.
Derby has very high levels of emissions from cars and has won a bid for govt money to launch alternative green travel initiatives : more details on council website
