Flooding: Local Road Closures Latest

Elvaston Castle Country Park car park has reopened this morning (Saturday, January 23), but a section of Borrowash Road remains flooded, so access is from the direction of Borrowash only, not Thulston.

As of Thursday 10am, more roads are closed

• East Service Road at Raynesway

• Ford Lane

• Old Lane, Darley Abbey - closed either side of the river; access only

• Haslams Lane - closed at Alfreton Road

• Markeaton Lane

• The swing bridge next to the Silk Mill is closed to pedestrians

Road closures across Derby

Derby City Council have closed Markeaton Lane this evening (Wednesday 20th Jan) due to localised flooding.

They have also closed Old Lane in Darley Abbey and Haslams Lane at Alfreton Road.

The council say that they are "well prepared, and are closely working with our partners to monitor the situation."
