Aida Bliss - new development

The council are moving on with the development of the Aida Bliss factory site. The plan is to have new housing that is in sympathy with the Victorian character of the area. Up to 80 affordable houses could be built in City Road.

The work is part of the 'Our City Our River' (OCOR) scheme, which "aims to regenerate the area, while recognising its important heritage within the Little Chester Conservation Area, and in the buffer zone for the Derwent Mills World Heritage Site".
