Council Community Tree
Christmas tree are being put up in every ward in the city during this week and residents, community groups and schools are being asked to join in and decorate them.
Derby City Council Neighbourhoods team has organised for a total of 35, 11 ft tall Christmas trees to be installed in key locations in city suburbs.
The Christmas trees are being placed in planters created by Engineered Learning, who work with at risk or excluded young people.
Up to 30 tonnes of free compost has been provided by Vital Earth and the city council's own grounds maintenance team will be putting them up.
