Parking Permits - Parkfields Cedars area

The introduction of permit only parking across Sherwin St area was delayed by the spring lockdown. It followed residents there lodging a very high level of complaints about inconsiderate parking etc which resulted in the council survey to judge local feeling. A group of residents made an organised effort to encourage others to return completed council survey forms. At that time, the council did not receive many complaints from across Six Streets.

The scheme should be in force by the end of February. The university o street parking is at very low level at the minute due to them teaching online. The university is likely to be holding very few face to face seminars/practical sessions by Feb, so effect of the permits will be low at least to begin with. In time, they may be displacement parking affecting Six Streets area.
