The council’s Waste and Recycling team will be in Derby Market Hall launching their first pop-up-recycling shop, armed with information and advice to help you get the right things in the right bins as well as a chance to win a plastic free lunch kit! Information will be available until Friday 21 February.
With so many different plastics about, it’s easy to get confused about which can be recycled in your blue bin. The team will also have some simple plastic free swaps on display to help residents break up with plastic altogether!
We’d love to help residents recycle more items via their blue bin. The good news is that manufacturers are starting to design and use more easily recyclable packaging and some companies are investing in technology to enable us to recycle more in the future.
