Kedleston Shops - Planters

Two council installed planters are now outside the shops on Kedleston Rd. This is part of a Darley Ward initiative to bring a lift to shopping areas and involve local communities and businesses.

As you can see the Fish Bar and Post Office are happy to be involved. The flowers got potted up and then watered in using a bucket from the Fish Bar! Hopefully both the businesses and local community will help to keep the planters watered, litter free and looking good.

There may well be a third planter arriving soon - watch that space!

Come December, the council will be arranging for Christmas Trees in the planters with an ask for local schools, nursing homes, businesses and residents to come up with ideas for decorations.
